Inner Exploration
One of the most important journeys we can take is within ourselves--
to discover who we are. That is where the healing begins.
Like any other type of spiritual or emotional healing, this
is
not an easy path. However, choosing to take an active stance in
our healing is generally easier in the long run than trying to avoid
it. When we ignore the work we need to do, Spirit will find ways to let
us know. And the more we ignore these messages, the louder they get. These
messages can eventually manifest themselves as serious illnesses.
This is important work we do; it is important to reconnect
with the spirit world because we are all one with each other and with
the world around us. We are all part of a greater consciousness, a greater
whole. Whatever we do to ourselves affects others, and what we do to
other people affects us. The separation between ourselves and the spirit
world has been too deep for too long, and it is very harmful. We need
to learn to reconnect with that world of mystery and wonder, and with
that part of ourselves that revels in the joy of the Divine.
Many people today are being called to explore the inner, spiritual
side of themselves. This speaks well of the direction the consciousness
of the world is taking. As we become more aware of our own spiritual
needs, we become more aware of the spiritual needs of others
and of the
planet. We become more focused on the healing of the greater whole, and
of the dangers the separation from Spirit can bring us, as individuals
and as a whole.
Our separation from the world of spirit has caused a wounding
in ourselves and in our culture that is so deep and has lasted for
so long that many of us don't even recognize it as a wound any more.
A person who lives with chronic pain, while never comfortable with the
pain, can forget what it was like to be pain free and believe their pain
to be a normal state of being. They can forget that there is any other
way to feel. This rift between ourselves and Spirit is much of what is
complicating our world today. So many of us have forgotten our connection
to each other and to the spirit world. We have forgotten what it is like
to live without pain. There is a reason for this, and that reason is our
loss of connection to the Divine.
While I want to help people as much as I can, I believe it
is very important that everyone is able to work on their own healing
as much as possible. One of my goals as a shamanic practitioner is to
help people contact and communicate
with their own spirit helpers and
so continue healing on their own for as long as they need to. I provide
guidance and support for people who are searching, and allow them room
to discover their own path while sharing the lessons I've learned on my
own quest. And I help them with their spiritual health in whatever way
I can, be it shamanic, energetic, or otherwise.
